They're still doing the standard/premium car bullshit? I mean some of them are starting to look seriously bad ad this point.

Really? Might need your eyes checked then. The graphics are crisp, the wheel wells are round and the grill and body lines are clean.

They did keep all the standard car, but obviously reworked the models, so unless the pictures got kinja'd, you don't see huge improvements in the pictures above?

I guess I do, which ones are from GT6 if you don't mind me asking?

Edit: It's the Porsches that are throwing me off

I run a 1080p Kuro Reference monitor and my eyesight is perfect, and the differences I see are hardly AMAZING. They are marginal.

I'd rather have a few hundred WELL DONE cars overall instead of Premium/Standard bullshit all over again. But Polyphony loves padding their car count with generally useless crap so theres that too.

I admit I should have zoomed in on some of them but some things are still kind of poor/choppy. I mean look at that wheel well.

Of course they're going to look better because anything is better than something that isn't much more than a straight port from the PS2/GT4 era.

I do want to play it though because the GT franchise is a favourite but at this point I want don't want to buy a PS3 for it (I've got a 360 now). I'd rather it just be available on PS4 and buy it for that.

That's the GT5 model. The Ruf in the showroom is the GT6 and its wheel wells are perfectly round.

Click the expand button, the differences will become obvious. That said, still somewhat lacking. Of course anything is better than what wasn't much more than a port from GT4.

I'd say the best indications of the changes they've made are the headlights and the rear deck on the Nissan. The back of the Blitz GT-R too.

Well, shit. I was comparing left to right. That said, the blue one actually looks worse, fuzzier, less detailed. :/

I will say that the GT6 pictures aren't very good. I think the Ruf was shot with a potato.

1200 cars. Sure, a lot of them are slight variations on others, but if you remove those there's still close to 1000 unique cars.

I can forgive some of them looking a little 'choppy' when over half of them are beautiful.

Honestly, in this day and age, graphics are going to look acceptable no matter what. Gameplay and community is what matters.
